| Volunteer
in Togo, one of the least known
countries in modern West Africa.
Lomé, the capital city
of this tiny country, and nearby
beaches are the main attractions.
On the coast at Aného
you can observe life in a traditional
fishing village or you can cross
nearby Lac Togo in a canoe and
visit Togoville, a fetish center.
Upcountry, you’ll pass
through beautiful hills and
plateaus on your way to the
national parks in the north.
The region around Kpalimé,
near the Ghanaian border in
the south-west, is known for
its dazzling flights of spectacular
butterflies. With its beautiful
landscape, lush green palm trees,
and many ethno-linguistic groups,
Togo offers some of the best
travel experiences of Africa.
Togo volunteer projects are
located in Kpalimé, a
city rich with attractions and
sight-seeing opportunities.
A relatively young city, Kpalimé
was founded at the turn of the
19th century by an Ewe group
who lived in the kingdom of
King AGOKOLI at Notse. Our volunteer
program in Togo offers a marvellous
opportunity to volunteer abroad
while exploring the scenic land
of Togo and helping the Togolese
people and children.
