Role of Volunteer

You will be working in local clinics and alongside other volunteers and staff helping with healthcare programs. Volunteer hours at the local clinics will be Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

You will help with wound dressing, taking blood pressure, pulse, and temperature measurements, as well as assisting patients from one service point to another, weighing patients, and working with local awareness programs when volunteering in healthcare in South Africa.

You will shadow local doctors and learn mostly from observation as a volunteer in South Africa with a healthcare program. Due to inherent risk involved and medical regulations, you cannot treat patients or become involved in surgery during the project.
