Cambodia is a country filled to the brim with rich culture and history. Magnificent temples, stunning beaches and incredibly friendly people are all things the nation is famous for,
and the contrast between tragic history and kind and welcoming people is an eye opening experience that brings large numbers of travelers here every year.
Sadly, securing a safe and prosperous future for Cambodia's children has become an issue of great concern. UNICEF estimates there are currently more than 100,000 orphans in Cambodia and due to extreme poverty, more and more families are opting to send their children into orphanages. This current trend is escalating the number of orphans in the country.
When you commit to the volunteer in an orphanage in Cambodia program, you can make a great difference in the lives of these needy and destitute children of all ages. The love and attention you provide as well as the knowledge and skills you will teach will give these children a chance at a happy and fruitful adult life.
There is a great need for loving, caring and enthusiastic volunteers who simply want to share their time, love and empathy with children. If this describes you, then contact Global Crossroad today about this great opportunity!
