Unfortunately, resources are scarce and many local NGO’s and municipalities are in desperate need of capable and committed volunteers to work directly with their programs. You will help these programs grow stronger, more sustainable, and more capable of serving their communities. Global Crossroad helps these NGO’s and municipalities fill the gap by making a volunteering overseas in Argentina with community development program very accessible and affordable to international volunteers. Role of Volunteer

When you commit to volunteer work in Argentina with community development, you will work with local municipalities and organizations 4 to 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday.  Your commitment to the community will have a monumental and positive impact! Depending upon your individual skills and interests and the needs of the local programs, you will take on roles such as the following.

Skills and Qualifications Needed

Local organizations and municipalities in Argentina are looking for volunteers to help fill in the gaps of their various volunteer work in Argentina with community development programs. Volunteers with any type of background are encouraged to apply. However, volunteers with an expertise in social sciences, social work, psychology, sociology, development, economics, management, marketing, political science, international relations, humanities, arts, tourism, and communication are in high demand.

Global Crossroad's volunteer abroad in Argentina application and registration fee cost US $299. The application fee covers the cost of advertising, program promotion, and office expenses (rent, utilities, and staff salaries in USA office).

In addition to the application fee, you are required to pay a weekly program fee. You will pay your weekly fee directly to the country coordinator, who in turn will allocate it to your host family, project and other in-country support we offer to our volunteers. This way, the fees that you pay will benefit those who rightfully deserve them, and not for company profit.

The volunteering in Argentina program fees will cover expenses that will begin on the first day of the program (usually the first or third Monday of the month) to the last day of the program. If you arrive before the first day of the program or you decide you stay beyond your program’s last day, you will be responsible for the additional expenses, which would typically be around $30 a day for room and meals at a hostel.
