Sport Volunteer Abroad in Brazil !

Do you love kids and have a passion for sports? Would you like to join a meaningful volunteer program in Brazil? Join this rewarding sport volunteering opportunity in Brazil to make a difference and experience vibrant local cultures.

Brazil offers you the chance to explore several beautiful beaches, museums, mountains and many other exciting places. If you want to dance the night away at Samba clubs or go on a trek in the Amazon rainforest, or explore countless beautiful beaches, Brazil has something to satisfy your needs.

Sadly, the other dark side of the country is favelas, poor slum areas where people struggle against crippling poverty. The people have been trying to rise above the ravages of drug trafficking, crime, and violence that have plagued their communities in the past.

Global Crossroads Brazil sports volunteer program partners with local schools to get vulnerable kids involved in positive, healthy athletic activities and help them avoid the pitfalls that come from life on the streets.

Inspire poor Brazilian youth to embrace their national athletic heritage! Contact us today to start making a difference.

Sport Volunteer Abroad: FAQs

You’re probably wondering about all the details that go into planning a big international trip like this. Global Crossroads has helped 20,000 volunteers do this since 2003, so let us take care of all those details for you. Here’s some important info to know when traveling with us:

Arrival and departure

You have to fly into Rio de Janeiro International Airport to enroll in our Youth Athletics volunteer program in Brazil. Global Crossroad advises all of its volunteers to come to Brazil one day before the start date of their volunteer projects.

Global Crossroad’s local representative will be waiting for you at the airport terminal. He/she will greet and then transfer you to your respective accommodations. We always suggest our volunteers to provide correct flight details to our country coordinator before their departure.

Remember to contact our country coordinator if there are any delays or change of plans regarding your flight to Brazil. That way, we can reschedule pick-up time at the airport on time for our volunteers who’ve decided to join our Sport Volunteer Abroad:.

Visa

You will need a tourist visa. There’s not one available at the airport in Rio, though, so you’ll need to plan ahead. You can visit the official embassy or consulate of Brazil in your home country. Depending on your nationality, you can skip the trip and apply for a Brazilian e-Visa. Check out this website and do your research based on your home country’s requirements.

Vaccination

Nothing will put a damper on a sports volunteer opportunity to Brazil like an unexpected illness. Protect yourself before you travel by getting vaccinated. See your doctor at least a few weeks before heading abroad.

Vaccinations for yellow fever, typhoid, influenza, polio, pneumonia, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, chickenpox, shingles, meningitis, rabies, Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), measles, mumps and rubella are recommended.
