Accommodation and Food In Brazil !

When you volunteer in Brazil program, we make sure you have safe, clean, comfortable and convenient accommodations and access to a variety of great food options. You can sleep easy at night because we’ve taken care of everything for you.

Depending on your project placement, you’ll be staying at one of two hostels, both about a 20-minute drive to your project site.

One hostel is a 5-minute walk to famous Copacabana Beach, and the other is in the bohemian neighborhood of Santa Theresa.

The Santa Theresa hostel is nice, new, and has a pool and terrace area to enjoy with the friends you’ll make from around the world. The charming neighborhood has shops and beautiful views.

The other hostel is located a 5-minutes’ walk to Copacabana Beach. You’ll be in a walkable neighborhood with 24-hour amenities, stores, banks, hospital, restaurants, putting the rest of exciting Rio De Janeiro right at your fingertips.

The Copacabana hostel has been recently constructed and is a fantastic place to meet and connect with like-minded international volunteers in Brazil from around the world. It has large rooms you’ll share with 4-5 other volunteers of the same gender, and a delightful rooftop terrace you can enjoy with your new friends.

You’ll find all the amenities you need while volunteering abroad at the hostel, like free and fast wi-fi, hot water, clean linens, storage lockers, and even air conditioning. Tourist information and maps are provided, as well as safe drinking water to keep hydrated.

The hostel staff is courteous and can communicate in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and there is 24/7 security present on-site.  When you travel with Global Crossroad, we take care of everything for you, and you never have to worry.

Eat well while you’re in Rio

When you volunteer in Brazil program, a simple breakfast of cereal, toast, fruits, etc. along with coffee and tea will be served to you at the hostel as part of your program fee. Lunch and dinner are not included in the program fee.

Once you get to the project site, you can buy a typical Brazilian meal for lunch that consists of the staple rice and beans, and also a salad and meat option.

For dinner, you can sample the dizzying array of enticing dining options in the famous Copacabana neighborhood! Find traditional Brazilian cuisine alongside pizza, sushi, and more. Be sure to budget accordingly to cover your lunch and dinner purchases and get a true taste for this fascinating country.
