Mr. Jeff Gao – China Coordinator

Born in Shandong Province, the hometown of great thinker and educator Confucius, Jeff has been working as a teacher of English at local universities for more than 14 years. He has got a happy family, with a son of nine years old and currently live in Qingdao, a famous city for its history and culture and picturesque tourist attractions. Jeff has got the expertise of working as an in-country coordinator and China program manager for several international organizations. He gladly joined Global Crossroad in Sept. 2004, working as our new China Programs Coordinator.

Education:

1986-1990 - Liaocheng University, China, BA in English Education

1996-1997 - Nottingham University, UK, MA in English Language in Literary Studies

Experience:

14 years working as a Teacher of English at tertiary level and Volunteer Coordinator for different international organizations in China including I-to-I.

Interests:

I enjoy many different things. Some of those are: table tennis, shopping, being with friends¨Ceating, drinking and singing karaok together, listening to music, going to different places, talking, reading, and basically anything that is fun. I hate when some people are treated better than others because of their race, background, knowledge or grade. I am a fair, loving, and caring person and think everyone should be treated fairly. Friends describe me as talkative, outgoing, friendly, gullible, smart, and trustworthy.
