Unlike other international volunteer organizations, the Global Crossroad program is highly affordable and designed for college students. Because the Asia Volunteer program utilizes local resources, manpower, and flexible leaders, our association is able to bring volunteers to Asia with the lowest possible fees. Most of the United Kingdom and the United States based organizations run volunteer programs in Asia in collaboration with the same local partners of Asia volunteers. Therefore, joining the Asia volunteers program offers volunteers the opportunity to join the same, or higher, quality program for a reasonably cheap price.

Flexibility and multinational programs

Our programs are highly flexible. In addition to volunteer projects outlined on our website, Asia volunteers offers placements in many more area, depending on our volunteers' requests. In our program, volunteers usually work from 2-12 weeks. Many programs are available, also.

Amazing phases

In most of the countries of Asia, our program follows many wonderfully-featured phases. The first week volunteer program starts with basic language training, cultural lessons, and local area visits. In the second week, volunteers join village/home stay programs. Here, there are opportunities for cultural immersion, language practices, visiting villages, working on farms, cooking, and visiting tourist destinations of the country. Only after 2-3 weeks of intensive language training, cultural experiences, and familiarity with local culture, customs, religions, and ways of life, volunteers can then join the volunteer program.

Some Facts

Global Crossroad works with established volunteer organizations - NGOs, schools, and grass-root organizations of Asia. Our national co-coordinator in each country also joined Global Crossroad with years of experience in volunteering and development areas. Before starting Asia volunteers, we extensively visited each country, approved projects, and accepted host families. Also, we found appropriate villages and other areas, where volunteers will stay during their volunteer experience.

Most of the United Kingdom and the United States have registered organizations that also work with the same local organizations, which work with us in many countries of Asia. There are really no differences in the program's quality, or any other features. However, joining the Global Crossroad program saves your money by at least 40-50%. Global Crossroad has developed a very useful language program, an exciting mini-adventure plan, and many exploratory travel arrangements in our affiliated countries. All of these options offer a variety of opportunities for volunteers to make the most out of their volunteer project.

Global Crossroad maintains information desk in Japan. Although our central office is in Baton rouge, Louisiana (USA), these alternative locations help volunteers and their families to communicate with us more easily before joining the Global Crossroad program.
