Teaching English in Primary School

Primary school children in Hanoi start learning English at grade 5. English is one of the favorite subjects for the children but they have very limited chances to meet foreigners and practice English.

Volunteers help the students to improve their pronunciation, listening and speaking skills, organize games and outdoor activities in order to improve the general English skills of the children as well as the teachers.

Our ongoing Vietnam volunteer program:

Teaching English (Saigon)
Teaching computer skills to orphans (Saigon)
Working with disadvantaged children (Mekong Delta Region)


Teaching English in Child Center ( Hanoi region)
Teaching English in Primary School ( Hanoi region)
Caring Disabled Children ( Hanoi region)
Work for Development Projects/NGO ( Hanoi region)

Program: Volunteer in Vietnam
Project: Teaching English in Primary School
Start Dates: 1 st and 3 rd Mondays of each month
Arrival/Departure: Noi Bai (Ha Noi) International Airport
Language Requirement: Fluency in English
Accommodation and Meals: Dorm or home-stay. You may cook for yourself in the dorm or be served by a small Vietnamese restaurant or host family
Working Hours: 14-20 hours per week
