Teaching computer to orphans

With the growth of business and tourism, Vietnam needs workers who possess strong computer skills. A bright future awaits children who are now learning to use the computer. Therefore, efforts have been made by local orphanages to give basic computer training to orphans in Vietnam.

In this challenging project, volunteers will teach basic typing and word processing skills to orphans. To join this project, volunteers should be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and the Internet). There are further opportunities for skilled volunteers to teach Microsoft Office to blind children.

Our ongoing Vietnam volunteer program:

Teaching English (Saigon)
Teaching computer skills to orphans (Saigon)
Working with disadvantaged children (Mekong Delta Region)


Teaching English in Child Center ( Hanoi region)
Teaching English in Primary School ( Hanoi region)
Caring Disabled Children ( Hanoi region)
Work for Development Projects/NGO ( Hanoi region)
Program: Volunteer Vietnam
Projects: Teaching computer skills to orphans
Start dates: First and third Mondays of each month
Departure and End Point: Tan Son Nhat International Airport
Qualification Requirement: Microsoft Office
Accommodation and meals: You will live in a dorm or a guesthouse. You may cook for yourself in the dorm or be served by a small Vietnamese restaurant or a host family.
Working hours: 14-20 hours per week
Activities: Teaching Word, Excel, Access, and Internet skills.
