| Mini Venture Uganda is a unique program that combines the fun with charity work. You will not only tour the magical national park of Uganda, but get used to Ugandan people and work in an orphanage to improve the lives of poor and abandoned children. It’s a remarkable program that gives total Ugandan experience to you.
A schedule of the Mini-Venture package:
Day 0 – Arrive in Uganda, You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport where our representative will meet you. From there, you will travel to Global Crossroad’s home base
Day 1: Orientation and start of the project work at orphanage
Day 2 - 11: Continue your community work in an orphanage. The orphanage in the Uganda is full of destitute and poor children who badly need all the care they can get. Provide them love and plenty of care and they will warm up to you. Tidy their beds, change their clothes and make sure they are fed well. You will also teach them English and another creative arts as nurturing their talent and making them confident individuals is one of the best thing you can do for them. Orphanage staff will be at hand to help and guide you. You will mostly work in the morning and in the evening.
Day 12 - 14: It’s time to hang up your boots and reinvigorate your weary souls. Travel to Murchison Falls National Park and watch the national park, wildlife and a massive falls. This massive park is bisected by Nile River and in Murchison Falls the river explodes violently through narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. The park is home to hippos, elephants, buffalos, giraffe and a variety of antelopes. In the southeast area of the park, Rabongo Forest is home to chimps and other rainforest creatures.
Day One: Red Chili Camp
After gather early morning in Kampala, you will drive to Masindi town, 4 hours away. You will stop in the town for lunch. In the afternoon, you will be involved in a game drive via Budongo Forest. You will then arrive at Red Chili Camp early evening. The camp is located at the banks of River Nile. Dinner and overnight at Red Chili.
Day Two: Murchison Falls
You will wake up early to see one of Africa’s most famous falls. You will drive to the northern part of the park after early morning breakfast. See elephants, buffaloes, oribis, bushbucks, lions, giraffes, and a large variety of birds. After lunch, you will venture on a two-hour lunch trip up to the bottom of Murchison Falls. The 43 meters fall starts on top with a narrow gorge where large volume of water squeezes through to cascade magnificently down. The water brings in lots of hippos, crocodiles and water birds along the river banks. Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day Three: Murchison Falls and back to Kampala
Your last day at the park will start with an early breakfast and the drive to view the top of the Murchison Falls. On the way to Kampala, have lunch in Masindi, then drive back to Kampala to conclude the trip.
