Two-week program
: $1199
Allocation
of program fee
Project
Donation: $400
Reconstruction
projects require
a tremendous amount
of materials: cements,
rods, sand, and
other supplies.
Unfortunately, local
sources in Sri Lanka
are unable to fund
their own reconstruction.
Therefore, nearly
all money donated
goes directly for
the purchase of
construction materials.
A portion of this
donation will also
be used for engineers/consultants
fees.
Global
Crossroad fee/lodging/meals/airport
pickup/logistical
support: $699.
This fee covers
our administrative
costs (advertising,
support for U.S.
and Sri Lanka staff,
and related expenses).
This fee also covers
the cost of airport
pickup, transfer
to the project site,
travel insurance,
lodging (rented
house/local hotel/host
family), meals (local
food 3 times a day),
transportation,
and other logistical
support during your
stay on the field.
Special
Notice
I. The program
fee does not cover
soft drinks, mineral
water, and personal
expenses.
II. Global Crossroad
offers meals and
lodging from the
first to the last
day of the program.
It is each volunteer’s
responsibility to
pay for lodging
and meals if arriving
earlier than the
project start date
or staying after
the completion of
the project. It
generally cost $20-$25
per day in a medium
standard hotel near
the Colombo airport. |
