Sukanya Bhujel, Ph.D fellow
Born in Udonthani, Thailand, Sukanya,
has completed her Bachelor's degree
from Khon Kaen University and Master's
Degree in Social Development from
National Institute for Development
Administration (NIDA), Bangkok. She
has is now a PhD fellow of Khon Kaen
University.
Before joining Global Crossroad as
a Thailand Program Coordinator, she
served as a Joint Country Director
of a volunteer organization. During
which she developed programs and arranged
placements for European and American
volunteers in Thailand. She also served
as an Executive officer for the Center
for the Protection of Children's Rights
(CPCR), Foundation, an NGO located
in Bangkok, Thailand. During her assignment,
she has attended various national
and international conferences/workshops
e.g. Thailand, Laos, Bangladesh, the
Philippines, etc. representing the
organization and the country. Her
extensive experience has been very
helpful to develop and run attractive
volunteering programs smoothly and
effectively. She helps to bring these
remarkable volunteer programs into
Thailand and makes sure that they
benefit both the local community and
the volunteers involved.

Interests/hobbies
She loves to be involved with international
volunteering programs and related
activities for the sake of community
Development. She has a keen interest
and would like to help the local people,
especially children and the elderly,
for whom she feels deeply. Thailand
is undoubtedly matchless to any countries
due to its natural beauty (sea beaches,
northern mountains, water falls etc.),
delicious foods, honest, smiling and
calm people, and their culture and
hospitality. She would love to see
