Thai Cookery Course in Bangkok

Thai food these days are as popular as Thai beaches. They're known for being hot, spicy and delicious. This short course is designed to teach you the basics of preparing fine Thai cuisine. You will learn by preparing food in a stylish Thai kitchen. All the necessary cooking tools, i.e. stove, wok etc., will be provided. All classes are small in size, never more than 10, to ensure adequate personalized attention.

Proposed Itinerary

Day 1 - Bangkok – transfer (-/-/-)

Arrive Bangkok airport and then transfer to hotel. Overnight.

Day 2-4 - Bangkok (B/L/-)

After breakfast transfer to the cooking school.
The course is completely hands-on and conducted in English. While the technical content is professionally presented, the whole process is meant to be entertaining and fun for the participants! This is an opportunity to really discover the joy of cooking and try your hand at becoming a Thai cook.

During all our classes, the school's instructional emphasis is always focused on the same three things: traditional Thai techniques, innovative use of ingredients, and esthetic presentation. What changes are only the ingredients according to season.

There is a wide variety of cooking classes from 1-5 days. The 4-hour classes, featuring 4 food items, are held on Tuesday - Sunday, 9.30am - 1.30pm. School is closed on Monday and National Public holidays. All classes include recipes and generous samplings of demonstrated items.
Transfer back to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 5 - Bangkok (B/-/-)

Termination of the tour after breakfast.

Remark:
The course is not recommended for young children. Their participation, it is felt, may disrupt the smooth flow of the class.

Thailand Travel program begins from a designated place. Your volunteer and travel program fee does not cover the transportation from your project/hostel/host family to the travel start point. Thus, it is your responsibility to arrive at the right place at the right time and to return to your project. The exact address of your travel starting point will be given to you in Thailand.
