Proposed Itinerary

Day 1 - Bangkok - Kanchanaburi (-/L/D)

Early morning pick up from hotel (approx 06.00-06.30) and departure for Kanchanaburi. After 2-hour drive, visit the Allied War Cemetery, the Thailand-Burma Railway Center, the War Museum and the Bridge over the River Kwai. Transfer to Pak Seng pier for a 30-minute boat ride up Kwai Noi River to Jungle Rafts. Afternoon excursion to Hell Fire Pass Memorial, situated at 1000 meters. This is the longest of a series of passes hacked through the mountains by allied POWs building the Death Railway and was so named for its flaming torch-lit appearance at night. After dinner, see a display of Mon dancing. Overnight halt.

Remark:
Hell Fire Pass visit is either on Day 1 or 2.

Day 2 - Kanchanaburi (B/L/D)

Morning visit to a nearby local Mon village and enjoy jungle trekking in the forest. Rest of the day, feel free to experience an elephant-back ride, raft down the Kwai Noi River, or enjoy a Thai herbal massage (not included in the tour price).

Day 3 - Tour Kanchanaburi, Drive back to Bangkok (B/D/-)

After lunch return by boat to Pak Seng and take a train journey on the Death Railway over the bridge and a witness spectacular wooden viaduct built by the POWs. Drive back to Bangkok, arriving in Bangkok early evening (approx 18.00).
