Coral, Canoeing and Caves in Krabi

Escape from the commercialized tourist resorts of Phuket and Pee Pee and discover the delights of Krabi, the place of sea, sand and sunshine. With this package, explore some of Thailand’s finest beaches, coral reefs and experience the wonder of paddling by canoe through sea caves and towering canyons.

Proposed Itinerary

Day 1 - Depart for Krabi (-/-/-)

Travel to Krabi from Phuket, Ko Samui, Bangkok or anywhere else in Thailand. Get transferred from Krabi and check in to Phra-Nang Inn. Rest of the day at leisure. Explore the beautiful beach.

Day 2 - Krabi (B/L/-)

Set off after breakfast on a 20-minute boat ride passing scenic beaches, off-shore islands and extraordinary limestone rock formations. Stop for two hours on Rai Leh Beach, one of the most beautiful and romantic beaches in Thailand, with time for swimming, rock climbing or trekking up the mountain for a breathtaking view of the lagoon. Continue by boat to Chicken and Tab Islands, connected by a white sand bar. Spend time snorkeling and view the stunning corals and swim with dazzling shoals of fish. Return to hotel.

Day 3 - Krabi (B/L/-)

Start with a canoeing trip to explore the mangrove forests and river estuary and admire their fascinating ecological systems, see the water monitor, monkeys, and gibbons. After paddling through mangrove forests, pass Khanab Nam Mountain, the highlight of the day. It is a magnificent canyon covered with wild flora extending for some 400 meters. Return to hotel.

Day 4 - Krabi (B/L/-)

Start with another canoeing trip through stunning caves to see marvelous stalagmites and stalactites. Then paddle through mangrove forests, the river estuary and finally up river, passing through Lod Cave beneath the mountains to the Great Spirit or Skull Caves, famous for their pre-historic paintings and early human remains. Return to hotel.

Day 5 - Krabi (B/L/-)

Termination of the tour after breakfast.

Charge for children:

50% of tour rates when sharing same room with 2 adults and no extra bed are required.
75% of tour rates when sharing same room with 2 adults and one extra bed are required.

Thailand Travel program begins from a designated place. Your volunteer and travel program fee does not cover the transportation from your project/hostel/host family to the travel start point. Thus, it is your responsibility to arrive at the right place at the right time and to return to your project. The exact address of your travel starting point will be given to you in Thailand.
