Global Crossroad's TEFL institute in Mexico is located in Chiapa de Corzo. One of the oldest towns in Mexico , Chiapa de Corzo is a small city offers some of Mexico 's most stunning landscapes. This colonial city is located at the mouth of the Sumidero Canyon with numerous opportunities for the nature-loving student - with numerous hiking opportunities to natural destinations such as sinkholes and waterfalls gracing the horizons.

Living Accommodations/Meals
Living accommodations are covered by the standard course fees and are set-up in local host families within walking distance of the language institute. While meals are the responsibility of the students, food can be obtained throughout this quaint town. These accommodations are all clean and moderate and are set-up in host families who have a long-running history of hosting international students. Global Crossroad strongly recommends that participants budget approximately $10-20/day for food.

English-Teaching in Mexico
Global Crossroad currently offers paid, English-teaching positions in Mexico . These positions are located in and around Mexico City and are available for various durations - ranging from three (3) months to one (1) year. These positions primarily consist of teaching English to business executives and professionals as well as private, individual classes to adults and children interested in perfecting their already existing English. Other activities include: business workshops, writing workshops, e-mail/online course, etc.
While these positions are not guaranteed, our TEFL coordinators will provide various levels of support to help successful graduates locate an English-teaching position. The starting rate of pay for English-teachers in Mexico is $10.50/hour and is a VERY competitive wage in Mexico . Note: transportation from the TEFL certification site to the location where graduates are offered is not covered by the above-mentioned program fee.
