 Buenos Aires is the trend-setting, culturally-rich capital of Argentina . Argentina's largest city and port, Buenos Aires is located on the southern shore of the “Rio de la Plata” on the southeast coast of continental South America . Synonymously known as “the Paris of South America, strong European influence is found throughout this wondrous city. Offering a plethora of cultural experiences, Buenos Aires is chocked to the brim with museums (modern, fine, decorative, pop, sacred) as well as theaters (i.e. the Teatro Colón – a world-famous opera house), and pristinely-preserved historical sites of famous Argentina-born writers, composers and artists.
The School
Global Crossroad's TEFL school in Buenos Aires is located within a gigantic, beautifully-preserved, four-story mansion known as the Academy of Recoleta which once belonged to past-President Carlos Pellegrini. Located in the Recoleta neighborhood next to the European Embassy, this TEFL-affiliated school offers modern amenities (i.e. computers with wi-fi access and printing capabilities) as well as unique extracurricular features such as Tango lessons and Spanish classes.

Living accommodations and meals are not covered by standard course fees. However, Global Crossroad can assist in arranging accommodations in nearby apartments and/or living communities. Most accommodations are air-conditioned and are clean, moderate and located near some of Buenos Aires ' most stunning attractions as well as other exciting amenities. Accommodations are reasonably-priced (approximately $300-$500 USD/month). Global Crossroad strongly recommends that participants budget approximately $10-30/day for food.
