In the past, Global Crossroad was contacted by numerous school and language institutes in China, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, as well as other countries requesting "qualified TEFL instructors." Striving to continually meet the increasing demands of our volunteers, as well as those looking to experience life in another country, we decided to seek an alliance with some of the top, industry-leading TEFL institutes around the world, thus beginning our voyage into the realm of TEFL abroad.

Initially beginning our search for the very best, most internationally-recognized TEFL-certification providers, we were quite overwhelmed. With so many so-called "best TEFL programs," the information was confusing and sometimes controversial. All members of the College of Teachers follow a strict code of practices which promotes a professional behavior. Central to this code is the respect for the individuality of the learner and recognition of the collaborative nature of the profession of learning and teaching. As a result, each trainee receives a Certificate of Educational Studies in TESOL upon successful completion of the course.

Thailand 's TEFL courses are recognized by the Middlesex University of England as well as the Thailand Ministry of Education – meeting Thailand 's exact standards, thus improving the chances of those receiving their TEFL certification in Thailand to be offered an English-teaching position in Thailand.
