How can I contact the school if I arrive before the start of the TEFL program?
In the event that participants
arrive before the proposed start
date, they are advised to remain
in a suggested hotel where they
will then call our offices.
This information, such as the
address and telephone numbers
of our Arusha-based office,
will be included in the final
placement details provided in
the supplied pre-departure booklet.
Accommodations/Meals
Global Crossroad offers living
accommodations and meals in
local host families. Host families
provide a separate room and
3 meals a day (local, Tanzanian
cuisine). Should participants
wish to stay in hotel, this
can be arranged but at an additional
fee. Depending upon the quality
of the hotel in Arusha, the
cost can vary from $5-100 per
day. Global Crossroad manages
food and accommodations from
the very first day to the last
day of the program in collaboration
with the local host families
involved. Tanzanian cuisine
includes meat, chicken, seafood
and vegetarian dishes –
offering local, fresh, and nutritious
meals. However, a variety of
exotic foods is available throughout
the city of Arusha.
Internet/Telephone/Medical Facilities
Arusha is a business center
and one of the largest cities
in Tanzania, offering all these
facilities/services within a
2-3 km radius.
Climate

occurring between June and September
