Arrival Information

All participants should arrive at the Cusco International Airport in Cusco, Peru

Transfer from Airport to Accommodations

Global Crossroad offers airport pick-up and transfer services to hotel or host families. We are happy to provide airport drop-off service with pre-arrangement, but most trainees find this unnecessary. Participants are required to provide their flight information prior to arrival and departure.

How can I reach the institute?

Our institute is located on Cusco's main commercial street - Avenida El Sol #612, and is just 3 blocks from Cusco 's Plaza de Armas.

In Cusco, you will not have to worry about food as there is a multitude of restaurants that offering varied menus, excellent service, and very inexpensive options - participants can eat for as little $3-$5 per day. Most tourist-class restaurants are located around the Plaza de Armas. Prices suit all budgets and vary according to the quality of service and type of food.

Internet/Telephone/Medical Facilities

As part of your TEFL course tuition, our partner institute provides FREE Internet 7 days a week, as well as incoming phone service and outbound calls which can be easily made using a calling card. In addition, despite the altitude being 2 miles high in the Andes Mountains, Cusco is the tourist capital of South America - offering various, modern telecommunications [and banking] services.

Climate

The key to packing for a trip to Peru is to pack for a variety of conditions. The best way to deal with the extremes Peru has to offer - the intense sun during the day, the cold mountain nights, and the heat and humidity of the Amazon Basin - is to dress using several layers.
