Arrival Information

All participants should arrive at the Indira Gandhi International in Delhi, India.

Transfer from Airport to Host family/Hostel

Program fees cover airport transfer/pick-up and reception service (NOTE: Global Crossroad does NOT offer airport drop-off/return services).

Transportation from the TEFL school to the airport is approximately $75.00 USD.

How can I contact the TEFL institute (if I arrive before the start of the TEFL India program)?

In the event that a participant arrives before the start date, it is advised that they arrange their own accommodations and contact someone at Global Crossroad's office who will then provide you with instructions. Details, such as the address and telephone numbers of Global Crossroad's India offices, will be provided to participants in their in final placement details/pre-departure booklet.

Accommodation/Food

Program fees cover living accommodations and three (3) local meals a day. Most accommodations will be in either shared rooms within a hostel or host family (participants usually share rooms with fellow participant in both situations) where meals will be provided.

In the event that participants wish to live in more luxurious accommodations, this can often be arranged at additional costs ranging from $25-200 per day depending upon the quality of hotel in Guna Gao. Guna Gao is a growing and vibrant city offering numerous restaurants with a multitude of food choices.

Internet/Telephone/Medical Facilities

Delhi is the business center and capital of India – offering a variety of telecommunication and medical facilities/services. Phone and internet services are available in Guna Gao (NOTE: Guna Gao is approximately 30 km from Delhi).

Climate (Delhi)

From November to March is the best time to visit, with cool but sunny weather. In additions, Holi, one of the most exuberant Hindu festivals, takes place around this time. October sees the end of the monsoon season, but is reasonably pleasant. Nights can be quite chilly in December and January.
