This awe-inspiring
safari in Northern Tanzania
covers two national parks providing
an unparalleled game-viewing
experience. Both the N’gorongoro
Crater and the Lake Manyara
National Park offer up some
of the most widely-ranging examples
of the diversity contained within
Africa. In addition to an encyclopedia
of wildlife, the Great Rift
Valley offers such natural oddities
as a soda lake and other dramatic
views of the patterned areas
of this portion of our earth.
Proposed Itinerary
Day 1.
After breakfast,
participants will be picked-up
at their respective project
followed by a journey to Lake
Manyara National Park for a
full day's safari accompanied
by a picnic lunch. Located within
the daunting confines of the
Great Rift Valley , said park
is recognized for it cornucopia
of wildlife, including: buffalo,
elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo…
just to name a few. The day
concludes with an overnight
stay at either Camp Vision 's
guesthouse or a campsite in
the village of Mto we Mbu.
Day 2.
Journey to the
N’gorongoro Crater for
a day-time game drive. With
the naturally-occurring elements
barricading animals within the
crater's high-reaching, restricting
walls (as high as 2000 feet),
the specimens of wildlife is
so diversified and often includes:
lions, elephants, giraffes,
zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals,
rhinos, antelopes as well as
a prismatic catalog of bird
specimens and other wild animals.
The group will also have a picnic
lunch on the crater's wide bottom.
The day concludes with an overnight
stay at either Camp Vision 's
guesthouse or a campsite in
the village of Mto we Mbu.
Day
3. . Voyage to
Tarangire National Park for
a full day's safari accompanied
by a picnic lunch. Native land
to a vast number of elephants
(in upwards of 1000), Taragrine
National Park offers numerous
chances to observe lions, cheetahs,
and leopards in addition to
its massive diversity of wildlife
as well as the symbolic Baobab
tree. Tarangire National is
an ornithologist's paradise,
offering a variety of feathered
species, including some of the
most aggressive birds of prey
flapping their expansive wings
over the famously-varied fauna
rich in birds of prey and an
incredible diversity of avifauna.
The day concludes with a return-trip
to Arusha in the evening where
participants will remain overnight.
