Applying for the Summer Escapes Program

Candidates for Global Crossroad's Summer Escapes Program must be between the ages of 18 and 27 . (However, there is some flexibility in this age requirement. Please contact our U.S. office for details.) Global Crossroad follows 6 steps in its application process for selecting participants for our Summer Escapes Program.

Step 1: Once Global Crossroad receives your e-mail, we will reply with answers to your questions. A formal application will be attached or you may either download a formal application from our website or apply online

Step 2: Complete the application form and submit it with a non-refundable $200 program deposit (check/money order/credit card in U.S. dollars). The program deposit is deducted from the total program fee.

Step 3: After receiving your application with the $200 program deposit fee, we will notify you immediately and your application will be processed/screened. Volunteers are chosen based on their commitment to the ideals of the program, their willingness to fully participate, and their ability to meet the physical and emotional demands of a group program. If Global Crossroad refuses admission to the program, the $200 will be fully refunded.

Step 4: Once you receive you acceptance notification, you should begin preparing for travel by obtaining all necessary documents (passport, visa) and meeting immunization requirements.

Step 5: Purchase your ticket and fax a photocopy of your passport and itinerary to our office. Participants must make a full program fee payment at least 2 months prior to departure.

Step 6: Our in-country coordinator or representative welcomes you at the airport and your Global Crossroad adventure begins.
