Patients with Parkinson's Project

The primary goal of this project is promoting the integration and avoiding the isolation of Parkinson's patients through services that help to minimize the physical and psychological consequences brought on by this debilitating disease. Additionally, this project aims to improve the patients' and their respective families' quality of life.

Volunteers will help support organizations in providing information related to the illness, as well as medical, psychological, legal and social assistance. The patients and their families bring in their experiences through workshops, courses, and self-help groups. Volunteers can expect to work side-by-side with professionals within the fields of social work and healthcare. Participants within this project should be able to face highly emotional situations while maintaining and establishing a relaxing environment conducive to the patients' comfort and safety.
