Work with the Visually Impaired

A residential community for visually impaired children and youth provides education and material and emotional resources such as education, work, recreation, culture, friendship, and family that these special people need to lead a full normal life,
A work-and-live situation, your job will involve reading from the text books so that they understand and learn, preparing the residents to face exams, offering moral support, and providing company to the inhabitants of the house. You may also be asked to provide some instruction for them. (You will be guided by the project organizers when necessary.)

Culture & Language Camp

Program: Volunteer--South India
Projects: Work with the visually impaired
Start dates: First and third Mondays of each month
Arrival & Departure Point: Bangalore International Airport
Language Requirement: Basic English
Accommodation and meals: Mostly host project or host family with Indian foods three times a day by the host
Working hours: 25-35 hours per week
Remarks: A minimum commitment of 3 months is required for this project
