Global
Crossroad organizes an internship program
in South India especially for international
students in areas such as orphanages, organic
farming, working with the handicapped, and
working in hospitals.
Under our South India
internship program, the intern engages in
daily project activities. In most cases,
interns develop a report paper in a particular
area of interest by working closely with
our project staff.
Generally, a professional
or staff member of this project serves as
a supervisor for the intern. As an intern,
you will stay with a host family or in a
youth hostel near the project in which you
are involved. Most of the time, the director
of the project will work to help you successfully
complete your field report.
Please contact Global
Crossroad if you need any help locating
information and materials for your internship
program.
In order to get the most
out of your internship position in South
India, Global Crossroad recommends at least
two weeks of participation in our unique
language and culture program.
These programs will
provide you with a necessary, comprehensive
start to exploring the everyday issues of
South Indian life.
