What kind of visa is required? What step must be taken to acquire this visa?
Participants teaching for only 1-3 months are encouraged to apply for a tourist visa from the nearest Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate. In the event that a participant is only granted a one (1) month tourist visa, said visa may easily be upgraded to a duration of three (3) months.
In the event that participants teach for durations of 4-13 months, Global Crossroad will assist in arranging a "B3" type work visa. Global Crossroad's Vietnam-based Coordinator will provide participants with all the necessary documents required to obtain said visa. This application process takes approximately one month which should be initiated prior to beginning the respective teaching schedule. Participants are encouraged to make early arrangements. Global Crossroad will require the following documents in order to apply for a work visa:
1) Full resume
2) Scanned passport page with photo
3) Scanned certificate/degree/diploma, etc.
Once Global Crossroad's Vietnam-based Coordinator received these documents, said In-Country Coordinator will then pass on participants' information to the respective school. These schools will then submit said documents to immigration authorities where the necessary documents needed to apply for a working visa will acquired.
Medical & Health Insurance
Global Crossroad does not offer medical and health insurance for participants in Vietnam paid English-teaching program. Teachers are required to purchase their own insurance. Should participants wish to purchase insurance, they may do through a Global Crossroad-affiliated insurance provider. |
