Recruiting Process

Step 1: Upon receipt of your application, Global Crossroad forwards participants' information to their In-Country Coordinator in Thailand .

Step 2: Immediately upon receipt of application, Global Crossroad's Thailand Coordinator will contact applicants. At this time, said coordinator may request additional documents. Once all required information is received, Global Crossroad's Thailand Coordinator will match a school to meet participants' qualifications and preferences. A telephone interview may be conducted (if deemed necessary).

Step 3: Thailand Coordinator will then forward (to participants) a letter of acceptance, a sample contract, and all documents necessary for visa processing along with the final invoice.

Step 4 : Upon completion of Step 3, participants will then be able to contact the local Thailand Embassy or Consulate and apply for a working visa. Participants are required to make payment in full (to Global Crossroad) upon receipt of said working visa, and begin making preparations for travel (vaccination, ticket, etc).

Step 5: Once participants have booked their airfare, they are to submit their travel itineraries to their respective coordinator who will then forward the info to the In-Country Coordinator in Thailand who will arrange airport-pick-up.

Acquiring a Visa

Upon acceptance, Global Crossroad will send all documents required to obtain a working visa application. Participants are required to submit the following documents to their nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate in order to receive their working visa:

• Passport
• Two passport-sized pictures
• Visa fee
• Application form

Travel Preparation for Thailand

After applying for a work visa, participants are then required to purchase their airfare. Upon confirmation of airfare, participants are encouraged to submit their travel information/travel itinerary to Global Crossroad (ALL flight information, i.e. airline provider, time and date of arrival, flight number).

Arrival in Thailand

A driver will be waiting at the airport holding a placard displaying the respective participant's name. Global Crossroad will arrange to have participants' housing prepared and someone will usually meet participants upon arrival at their respective living accommodations (unless participants arrive very early in the morning or very late at night).

Registration as a Thai Teacher and Work Permit

This paperwork is usually prepared by the prospective school employing said participant and may sometimes take up to 2 weeks to complete. NOTE: this does not prevent instructors from teaching.
