From the high-speed, big city life in Moscow to the relaxed pace of the smaller, surrounding towns, English-teachers can enjoy placements in various towns and experience both the cosmopolitan life within the walls of the Kremlin or the rural setting of the Russian countryside.

Qualification

Start dates: Most teachers arrive in either September/October OR January/February
(NOTE: schools recruit year-round with positions available throughout at various times)
Departure and End Point: Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, or Vnukovo International Airport, Moscow
Minimum Contract: 6 or 9 months
Work Hours: 20 to 30 academic hours/week
Location: Primarily in Moscow with some schools in Zelenograd, Balashikha, Troitsk, Podolsk, Klin, Elektrostal and Zhelesnodorozniy (all within 40 KM of Moscow)

Candidates need to be patient, flexible, enthusiastic, energetic and personable and also have a good sense of humor and genuinely enjoy teaching English to both children and adults.  The following is a list of required teacher qualifications:
  • Native and Non-native English speakers are welcome
  • Successful candidates must have Cambridge CELTA, Trinity Certificate in TESOL, MA TESOL or equivalent qualification
  • A valid passport
  • Must be able to sign either a 6-month or 9-month contract
  • Must be physically and mentally well
  • Must be willing to relocate to Russia

The Job

Teaching English in Russia consists of teaching English, lesson preparations and stand-by tasks usually consisting of placement tests. The school provides all curriculums and teaching materials. We offer you this opportunity to expand your teaching experience while traveling and working abroad. Contracts

Although there are shorter contracts available (6-month), contracts usually consist of 30-hours of academic work per week and are signed/renewed every nine (9) months.

Salary

Teachers' salaries usually depend on their previous teaching experience and qualifications. The average monthly salary for starting teachers is approximately $900/month.
