Whether you decide to visit the beautiful beaches, the historical Spanish colonial cities or the archeological sites of Pre-Hispanic cultures such as the Maya, Olmeca or Azteca among others, the charming national parks, deserts, mountains and forests, or just hang out in one of the modern cities, you will definitely have a unique experience. Now, you can explore the great land of Mexico while joining Global crossroad's paid, English-teaching program in Mexico City.

Qualifications:

Program: English-teaching in Mexico
Start dates: Throughout the year
Departure and End Point: Benito Juarez International Airport, Mexico
Minimum Contract: 3 months - 1 year
Work Hours: 16-20 hours/week
Location: Mexico City

  • Be a Native Speaker from an English-Speaking Country ( America , Canada , Australia , New Zealand , England , or Ireland ).
  • Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • TESOL or TEFL Certificates, Education Degrees, or Teaching Experience is preferred but not required
  • Be mentally and physically capable of teaching
  • Must have the ability and willingness to adapt to Mexican culture and way of living.

Fees and Dates

Placement fee: $599
Placement fee if enrolled in TEFL-Mexico: $299
Placement fee if enrolled in 120 hour online TEFL: $199

Tachers are able to begin teaching at any time (meaning participants may apply at any time).

Salary and Benefits :

  • Salary $115 Pesos (US $10.50). Per hour, this is a very competitive rate in Mexico. You will get 16-20 hours of teaching each week.

  • Assistance in locating suitable housing
  • Help in getting a work visa (if teacher signs up for longer than a 1 year contract)
  • Program fees DO NOT cover airfare nor living accommodations

Food/Accommodations:

Food and accommodations are the responsibility of the teachers. Global Crossroad's partnering/affiliated institution will provide assistance in locating an excellent and suitable home-stay. Accommodation cost approximately $70 USD/week - including three (3) meals a day. As well, room rentals are available in Mexico City - usually ranging from $120-$300 USD/month.

The Job:

Teach English (mostly conversational) to business executives, professionals, and students, as well as lesson preparation, and curriculum design. The school provides all materials for the courses as well as extra materials, and a continuous training program in order for their teachers to provide the best possible courses.
