Nonformal Education Program

Near the capital of India (Delhi), there is a project operating to provide non-formal education to the poor & deprived section of the society. This program is dedicated to underprivileged children and women whose parents once suffered from leprosy. These communities live in a particular area of Delhi NCR. These projects also aim to develop skills & inculcate the manners & teaching about health to the deprived, under privileged society especially women and children, who are frequently denied of their identity in the community.

The program provides rewarding and challenging opportunities to all volunteers who wish to volunteer in India. First, you will be given orientation by Indian staff that provides you with the conceptual framework of how to lend a hand to these people. Sometimes, we will collect street children and women in a particular area and teach them. We have included it on this section. The activities:

• Teaching English
• Teaching good health tips & manners.
• Teach English language
• Teach drawing, paintings and other skills you know and
• Some Skill Sharing Services might be expected

Volunteers can also assist the local organization with various tasks such as preparing and delivering the project works. The technical work includes designing programs, making/ designing training programs, assisting community research, documentation and arranging teaching and training manuals for other’s use. You will also be called upon to participate in various skill development activities trainings and teaching programs.
