Global Crossroad’s Community Development Project in India focuses on women's development and empowerment. Volunteers provide assistance, education, and practical skills for disadvantaged women of India. By working to assist five different women's development, education, and training centers, our volunteers make a strong, positive contribution to the quality of these women's lives. Our volunteers help disadvantaged women develop the pride and self-confidence they so often lack because of their difficult circumstances. Volunteers assist in many issues crucial to the lives of India’s women:

Micro-credit development
Training in social and practical work skills
Informal and formal education
Drug addiction
Family issues

Volunteers may also help with various tasks such as preparing and delivering project reports, designing and preparing training programs, and participating in various skill development activities, training sessions, and teaching programs
