Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu , airport receive, transfer to hotel

Day 2: Visit Global Crossroad contact office in Kathmandu, orientation on project sites, local issues, safety, culture, and other issues, departure for the project site (it takes 4-5 hours to reach Chitwan from Kathmandu ), introduction to school management committee members and host family

Day 3: Inspection of project site, discussion on project works, and start the project.

Day 4-6: Work continues in the project. Volunteers will work on various renovation related works (fixing the doors, windows, children desks, roofs, and other works like painting, digging, mixing of cement, sand, and gravel, and plastering)

Villagers will organize local cultural program to entertain the volunteers (one night). Volunteers work for 4-6 hours a day. Volunteers mostly work between 9am-12 am in the morning and 3-5 PM. In free time, you can explore local villages, farming system, and ways of life

Day 7: One full day of excursion program. Visit Royal Chitwan National Park and other major tourist attractions of Nepal . The excursion will include elephant riding, canoeing, jungle walk, visiting museum, elephant breeding centre, and Tharu village

Day 9-12: Project work continues

Day 13: Half day work, completion of project, and preparation for departure

Day 14: Farewell programs with host family, villagers, and kids, certificate distribution ceremony

The proposed itinerary is just a sample. The itinerary is subject to change to meet the changes of the field conditions
