Day 1: Arrival at Arusha ( Kilimanjaro Airport ), transport to Tengeru village (30km), get together.

Day 2: Project start up session and start the actual work.

Day 3-5: Work continues in the construction project . Work includes digging, removing mud, carrying brick, cements, water, mixing of cement, sand, and gravel, plastering, and other works related to construction project.

We will complete the construction project in 8 different phases. The nature of work may vary as the construction work progresses. In the free time, play with the orphan children, visit the women group projects (clay pot making, tree planting etc.) or the handicapped kid's project. Working hours are usually about 6 hours each day. Volunteers mostly work between 9am-12 noon and 3-5 pm.

Day 6: Excursion of Mt Meru Forest . Mount Meru (4566m) is a second highest mountain in Tanzania , Is also an extinct Volcano.

Day 7: A day at the Masai village to experience the life of this colourful old tribe still living their traditional ways.

Day 8-12: Project work continues.

Day 13: Half day work, Half day visit to coffee and fruit plantations, completion of volunteer assignment, and preparation for departure.

Day 14: Farewell programs with the project staffs, the kids, and certificate distribution ceremony.

The proposed itinerary is just a sample. The itinerary is subject to change to meet the changes in the field conditions.
