Day 1: Arrival in Delhi, transfer to hotel, and rest

Day 2: Early departure for Jaipur, arrive in Jaipur, orientation on safety, culture, and other issues, briefing on the organization, objectives and functions of Vatsalya. Discussion on different projects being implemented by the organization, and discussion on project itinerary

Day 3: Inspection of project site, discussion on project work, and start the project

Day 4-6: Project work continues. As a volunteer, you will build homes for the orphan children and the project work includes digging, removing mud, carrying bricks, cement, and water, mixing of cement, sand, and gravel, plastering, and other construction related works.

Our target is to complete the construction project in 3-4 different phases so the nature of work may vary as the construction work progresses. During free time, volunteers can play with the children and organize other fun activities. Working hours are usually about 6 hours a day and volunteers mostly work between 9-12 am in the morning and 3-5 pm.

Day 7: One full day of Jaipur excursion visiting Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Jal Mahal, Amber Fort, and Nahargarh Fort Aipur, the major tourist attractions of India

Day 9-12: Project work continues. Half day visit to a village in Rajasthan (one of the days)

Day 13: Half day work, completion of project period, and preparation for departure

Day 14: Bid farewell to project staffs, the kids, and certificate distribution ceremony

The proposed itinerary is just a sample. The itinerary is subject to change to meet the changes of field conditions.
