Tour of Ghana’s Greatest
(Accra, Kumasi, Mole National Park) - 10 days/9 nights

Proposed Itinerary

Day Zero: Trip Preparation

Day one: the adventure starts right after breakfast as you head towards Kumasi-a home of the Asantehene King of the Ashanti’s. Visit a small craft village on the way, famous for its wooden carvings; an excellent place to buy and witness skilled carvers outside their workshops. After lunch on the way to Kumasi, in a small village cottage restaurant provides traditional Ghanaian light food. Close by is the beautiful Boti waterfall, a refreshing place to stop before setting off on the last segment of our journey to Kumasi. Accommodation: Simple hotel. Meal: BLD

Day Two: After breakfast, journey North towards the villages of Boebeng and Fiema. The black and white Columbus and Mona monkeys live here in a sanctuary for the most endangered species of the world. Accommodation: Simple hotel. Meal: BLD

Day Three: your adventure starts early as you set off for the Upper West region of Ghana and the Wechiau community hippo sanctuary. Wechiau has been voted the 3rd best eco-conservation project in the world. Experience more excitement as you will enjoy a wonderful day interacting with the local community and viewing the endangered hippos on a memorable river safari. Today is surely a highlight of your trip. Accommodation: Simple hotel Meal: BLD

Day Four: After a morning river safari , you will then journey to Mole National Park, the largest and best game viewing national park of Ghana. Then proceed to explore this safari on foot, getting very close to the world’s largest land mammals, the African Elephants. Accommodation: Simple hotel. Meal: BLD

Day Five: The adventure continues on day five and is a very exciting one as we load up the 4x4 and set off driving deep into the National Park. Upon arrival early in the afternoon, you will set up camp and trek into the park to view some of the 93 mammals residing here. Then relax and enjoy the evening sleeping amongst the wilderness. Accommodation: share camp. Meal: BLD

Day Six: Following breakfast there will be a short hike through the park then return to the hotel to relax and watch the wildlife around the watering holes. Accommodation: Simple hotel. Meal: BLD

Day Seven: You will start the seventh day of your trip with a safari on foot before heading towards Kumasi. You will stop at Larabanga on the way and also a 14th century mud and stick mosque. Then continue traveling only taking a break at a beautiful and rejuvenating waterfall. Finally upon arrival at Kumasi you can spend the evening relaxing. Accommodation: Simple hotel. Meal: BLD

Day Eight: On day eight journey towards the village of Bonwire, home of Kente. Once here interact with the locals and learn the history behind the many designs of cloth and witness skilled weavers outside their homes during the village tour. Visit a Coco farm, which is only a short distance away, and learn more about Ghana, the world 2nd largest producer of Coco. During an educational tour you will learn the process of producing quality Coco gain insight into the daily lives of many locals in Ghana. After lunch you visit the village of Ntunsu the home of traditional Adinkra cloth. Accommodation: Simple hotel Meal: BLD

Day Nine: At the conclusion of your incredible adventure, you will enjoy a peaceful breakfast before leaving for Accra. Once you arrive, you get to visit the National Museum, a marvelous place where almost all the displays are ethnographic in nature. Then enjoy an early evening meal before your departure. Accommodation: Simple hotel. Meal: BL
