Rural
Community Insights
New
group program to help rural
poor
and children of developing countries!!
The “rural
community insight” is
our newest program. In this
program, Global Crossroad develops
meaningful volunteer abroad
projects for groups (general
public, university and college
groups, medical schools, churches
and businesses) in collaboration
with local grass roots organizations,
schools, and local communities.
In each case, the benefits of
your efforts, donations, and
services go immediately and
directly to poor children and
communities where a little help
makes a big difference.
The proposed
program protects and supports
children who live in extreme
poverty, live an orphan life
on the streets, work as child
laborers, or can not get basic
health care or the opportunity
to go to school. The program
also aims to support real community
development efforts of local
people.
In the rural
community insights program,
participants work directly with
local villagers in village-based
projects, sleeping in local
houses, eating the same foods
and working under the same conditions
as those in the local community.
In many cases, these communities
are without much infrastructure
- little or no electricity,
modern toilets, or shower facilities.
Projects are
available in Nepal, India, Tibet,
Ghana, Kenya, Costa Rica, Honduras,
Guatemala, and Ecuador, and
soon to come in Mexico, and
Brazil:
- Rural
school construction and renovation
projects
- Medical
missions with public health
components, such as eye clinics
- Construction
and renovation of health posts,
community centers, and youth
centers
- Reforestation
and green belt activities
- Other community
development programs
Global Crossroad
invites all of you to develop
a small group and join this
meaningful volunteer abroad
journey and discover how your
small efforts can help to make
a world a better place.
Cost:
The cost of the project is between
$999 - $1299, excluding airfare
and any donation to the project
to help buy materials. The program
fee covers all room, food, local
transportation, and 1-2 days
visiting local tourist attractions
and natural wonders in the area.
Global Crossroad also donates
some funds for these community
development projects.
Full program
itinerary will be provided upon
