Receive College Credit for Volunteer and Internship Abroad
Experiences with Global Crossroad

Global Crossroad is excited to announce that, participants enrolled in our exciting abroad experiences can now receive college credit – whether is be interning, teaching or volunteering. Approved participants can ear up to 15 quarter hour credits (5 quarter hours = 3.3 semester credits) depending upon the duration of respective project periods.

Minimum stay of 2 week is required in order to receive 3 semester hours (or 5 quarter credit hours). And you need to apply at least 3-4 weeks before the start of your volunteer abroad project.

Global Crossroad has recently partnered with an industry -leading, US-based institute with an already-established history (over 25 years) of offering college credit for international programs such as: study abroad, volunteer abroad, intern abroad, language studies and even cultural-exchanging home-stays.  Presently, this exciting new addition provides the participant an opportunity to learn outside the formal classroom while simultaneously taking advantage of materials and locations available ONLY through abroad-based programs offered through Global Crossroad. Recognized college accreditation is available to both high school and college students as well as educators wishing to earn credit for volunteer, internship, language immersion, home-stays, or semester/school year study abroad programs (i.e. sabbatical), work-abroad experiences, GAP-Year programs, etc.

Since 1978, nearly 18,000 students have successfully earned and transferred credits through our partnering institute.

Please find the name of colleges/universities who have
accepted/approved college credit from our partner

How does it work?

To receive academic credit, interested parties must first talk to their respective faculty/administration from their respective college/university.  Participants first need to ensure that said academic credit earned through our partnering institute will be transferred to their college/university. Many leading US colleges and universities have granted credit to past participants earning credit for their volunteer, internship, language study, etc. through said program. Upon request, Global Crossroad and our partner institute can provide interested participants a course syllabus, transcript, itinerary, and/or list of past colleges/universities that have granted credit for past work/studies done. Again, participants are still responsible for ensuring that said, earned credits transfer to their respective universities.

Price

$435.50 for 3 Semester Credits (or 5 Quarter Credits)
$871 for 6 Semester Credits (or 10 Quarter Credits)

Global Crossroad also charges $99 handling and coordination fees
