dancing, enthusiastic singing, theater,
and music are some of the activities
in our Brazilian Skills-Based Volunteer
Project. Designed to provide extracurricular
skills-based activities for children
between the ages of 7 and 18, this
Brazil volunteer project allows participation
in a wide variety of activities also
including learning IT skills and taking
part in sporting activities. Volunteers
organize the classes and help make
the time enjoyable for the children.
This project does not have the budget
to employ paid staff members, so it
relies heavily on volunteer support.
Activities
Volunteers help to organize activities;
assist staff members; and teach English
on an informal basis
Working Hours
Volunteers work 5 hours a day, some
time between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on
weekdays.
Resources
Basic resources will be provided.
However, volunteers may want to bring
some items from home. Anything that
can be used in extracurricular activities,
as well as English books and magazines,
are greatly appreciated.
Global Crossroad
has many on-going volunteer programs
