Forestry development project that falls under volunteer in Bolivia program has been designated to cover deforested areas along the route of the gas duct from Bolivia to Brazil. The project supervisor is a committed agronomist who is eager to welcome volunteers with an interest in environmental conservation. Volunteer will participate in hands-on projects that will offer a fantastic opportunity to work with Bolivia’s diverse botanical species. Volunteer will help with planting, maintenance and collection of botanical species, and there is also a chance to get involved in research activities.
Volunteer with an experience in marketing or publicity can also assist in locating sources of funding, raising awareness of the project and preparing promotional materials. Volunteer will work 5 hours a day, from Monday to Friday. All the necessary equipment, like gardening and planting materials will be provided on site. There are about six permanent staff members in the project.
Volunteer must learn some Spanish before arriving in Bolivia as this is quite essential for a successful placement.
